Handspeak: A Sign Language Dictionary Online
A dictionary and a tutorial to American Sign Language. Signing is demonstrated in GIF animation, teaching to sign letters, numbers, common words from an alphabetical list, and words from the subject categories Animals, Colors, Education, Food and Drink, Places, and Sports. Includes demonstrations of sign language for babies and animals.

Some sites only give definitions, while others furnish pronunciation and synonyms.

World Wide Words
Contains a dictionary of topical words, turns of phrases, weird words, and articles that "investigate international English from a British viewpoint."
