Requests
Document Delivery requests can be made for circulating items, or for photocopies of articles in microform, current periodicals, reference books, archival materials, rare books, maps, and atlases.
Procedure
Requests can be submitted through the online interlibrary loan form, available from the Library's web page:
http://www.library.umw.edu
Under 'Doing Research,' click on 'Interlibrary
Loan (ILL).' Items owned by the University of Mary Washington will be routed
to document delivery processing.
Delivery
Books will be checked out on your patron record and sent to your office through campus mail. Photocopied articles will either be scanned and electronically delivered to your interlibrary loan account on the web or sent to your office via campus mail.
Charges
There is no charge for Document Delivery service.
Responsibility
You are responsible for circulating items from the time they are checked out to you, until they are received back at the Library. All Library regulations are in effect.
Renewals
Circulating items may be renewed three times without returning them to the Library. Renewal may be done remotely by clicking on 'My Records' on the Library's main page, viewing the items checked out to you, and selecting to renew them. If the renewal option does not appear, contact the Circulation Desk at 654-1125. Materials may not be renewed until approximately 4-6 weeks prior to their due date. You may also present your EagleOne card at the the Circulation Desk to renew items.
Materials that are needed past the third renewal due date may be checked-out again, but must be brought to the Library for processing. Items that have been requested by another user cannot be renewed.
