John Whittier Scott, Jr., Judge
Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court

Judge Scott was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia and attended the public schools of that City. He graduated in 1970 from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, with honors earning a B.A. in Government. In 1973, Judge Scott completed his formal legal education, earning a J.D. at the University of Virginia. He returned to Fredericksburg in 1974 and engaged in the practice of law until January 2, 1990, when he became a Judge of the Fifteenth Judicial District of Virginia. July 1, 1996 he became a Judge of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit and was assigned to the City of Fredericksburg. He is married to Alda White, Esquire, and has three sons, John III, Christopher, and Jeffrey.
