Search Tools and Directories

The Internet Public Library, Yahoo (Yahooligans for kids), and the Librarians' Internet Index all have good sections for general science resources. All are listed on the Library's page of World Wide Web Search Tools.

Government Sources

Most federal and many state agencies have either entire websites or sections of their websites geared towards consumers, children, or teachers. Most of these can be located through FirstGov, the U.S. government's consumer-oriented portal which includes Science.gov (the "FirstGov for Science") and FirstGov for Kids, or Ben's Guide to U.S. Government for Kids.
