Directories

Directories are lists of names, addresses, phone numbers and other similar brief facts.

The directory may be organized in one long alphabetical list, or it may be organized by broad categories.

The most common directories are telephone books. A phone book is organized alphabetically in separate sections for personal, business and government listings, but it is organized by categories in the yellow pages.
